Getting Started: Your First Week at 5 Elements

Starting your martial arts journey can feel overwhelming, but at 5 Elements, we're here to guide you every step of the way. Here's what you can expect during your first week with us.

Your First Class

Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and get orientated. Wear comfortable athletic clothing - you don't need special gear for your first class. Our instructors will introduce you to basic techniques and ensure you feel welcome and comfortable.

What to Bring

For your first few classes, just bring water, a towel, and an open mind. As you progress, we'll guide you on any equipment you might need. Many students train for months with just the basics.

Learning the Basics

Don't worry about being perfect from day one. Everyone starts as a beginner, and our community is incredibly supportive. Focus on listening, learning, and having fun rather than comparing yourself to others.

Building Habits

Consistency is key in martial arts. Try to attend classes regularly, even if it's just once or twice a week initially. The more you train, the faster you'll see improvement in your fitness, technique, and confidence.

Ask Questions

Our instructors and experienced students are always happy to help. Don't hesitate to ask questions about techniques, training, or anything else related to your martial arts journey.

Remember, every expert was once a beginner. Take your time, be patient with yourself, and enjoy the incredible journey ahead!
